Meaningful involvement in the design and delivery of services.

For service users.
About service users.
With service users.

The Network is grounded in the belief that meaningful user involvement in the design, development and delivery of HIV support services is fundamental to ensuring that they remain relevant and effective.

What is co-production?

The term ‘co-production’ refers to a way of working where service providers and users, work together to reach a collective outcome. The approach is value-driven and built on the principle that those who are affected by a service are best placed to help design it.

Co-production is an approach to decision-making and service design rather than a specific method. It stems from the recognition that if we are to deliver successful services, we must understand the needs of our users and engage them closely in the design and delivery of our services.

Network Co-production Group.

The ‘Network Co-production Group’ will play an integral role in the implementation, development and delivery of Network services.

All those living with or affected by HIV in Camden and Islington are eligible to join the Group, regardless of whether they receive support from our services.

Local Innovation Fund.

Overseen by the Network Co-production Group, the ‘Local Innovation Fund’ is a way that users can support the Network in piloting new services that seek to address any gaps in support that have been identified by users.

“Seeking to create mutually supportive and collaborative networks that contribute to a reduction in health and social inequalities is one of the Network’s core values. As such, we will work hard with partners to engage those who are stigmatised, socially excluded and most in need of our support.”
